OBJECTIVE

The programme is intended to reach out to deserving Malaysians who are in need of financial aid to pursue their education.

WHAT DOES THE SCHOLARSHIP OFFER?

• Up to RM10,000 a year in course and other fees including hostel fees, or the actual cost, whichever is lower;
• Going to RM2,000 in allowances for learning aids including books, computer, stationeries and other materials per semester or up to RM4,000 per year;
• Coming up to a maximum of RM6,000 allowance per year or RM500 per month;
• There will be no bond to this scholarship and the recipients are not required to repay the amount of scholarship awarded.
• Induction Programme
  An induction programme will be provided to all recipients of the Cagamas Scholarship Award. This is to ensure the recipients understand the mandate, vision, mission and values of Cagamas.
• Mentoring
  Each scholar will be assigned a “mentor” from the Senior Management Team and selected Management Team. The mentor is to provide consistent and continuous mentoring throughout the duration of the scholar’s programme. This is to ensure that the scholars have the necessary support and are able to leverage on their mentors’ experiences.

In summary, the programme will cover the above fees and allowances up to a maximum of RM20,000 per person per annum.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

The scholarship will be offered on a yearly basis to successful applicants, to undertake up to four years of undergraduate studies locally.

This notice of offer for the scholarship is open for applications from all Malaysian students in need of funding. Students who have started their undergraduate studies are also eligible to apply provided they meet the requirements.

1. You must be a Malaysian citizen under 25 years old;
2. You must have good academic results in SPM/STPM or equivalent (with credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English);
3. You  must be a full-time student and have gained admission into any of the courses related to the field of studies listed here, which has been approved and accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), in a college or university in Malaysia as approved by Cagamas;
4. Not be in a position to take on the course without financial aid or award;
5. Not be in receipt of any other scholarship, financial aid or award from any institution, organisation or foundation;
6. Not have been terminated from or ceased to be in receipt of any other scholarship, financial aid or award from any institution, organisation or foundation, due to disciplinary action against the applicant; and
7. Applications will only be considered if they meet the eligibility criteria; the specific field of study and the list of colleges and universities as approved by Cagamas.

PRE-REQUISITES AND CONDITIONS

The list of pre-requisites includes:

1. Maximum household combined salary of not more than RM 4,000. It is a requirement for the applicant to provide information on the parents’ income;
2. The offer of scholarship will be subject to acceptance of the terms and conditions of a scholarship agreement with Cagamas; and
3. Recipients of the scholarship award will be required to fulfil conditions as set out in the scholarship agreement including, but not limited to, maintaining a minimum ‘Cumulative Grade Point Average’ (CGPA) of 3.00 or achieve a minimum of ‘Second Class Upper’ in the final examinations.

Engineering - Nak keje kat mane nanti ye?

Hari ni admin tengok ade orang share mengenai laluan perjalanan korang kalau korang amek bidang engineering ni. Lepas admin tengok, admin tambah sikit.

Nanti korang dah sambung engineering tu, dah tahu susah (time tu ikutla nak menyesal ke nak menjerit ke, tapi kene bagi habis jugak la ye), korang boleh decide la mane - mane nak pegi.

Kalau korang amek...

1. Jadi Lecturer / Pensyarah / Cikgu. 


Kene mengajar la. kalau ajar ipt, korang maybe kene amek master, xpun phd baru boleh. dulu2, ade degree pun dah boleh mengajar kat ipt, skrg ni keadaan dah mungkin berubah sikit.

Kalau nak jadi cikgu, kene pegi amek kursus mengajar lagi la. Selalunye kene apply dengan UPSI. Amek kursus perguruan lebih kurang setahun dua, lepas tu baru boleh. Kalau nak senang dapat yang ni, dah ade degree nanti, pergi sekolah2, try mintak jadi guru sandaran dulu. lame2 senang nak dapat masuk.

2. Ni tempat buat duit.

Korang keje memang akan gune la (kebanyakan) bende yang korang belajar dulu. High pressure (private biasanya), keje penat, tapi gaji biasanya berbaloi. Kawan admin yang pompuan pun ramai je keje engineer company2 swasta, memang technical abis. ade yang duk atas platform minyak tengah laut nun sampai berminggu minggu.

Dah dapat gelaran IR, lagi la banyak duit korang nanti.

Banyak cabaran keje sini. korang keje nanti tahu tahu je lah.

Yang penting, minat. Kalau x minat, nanti mule la menyumpah. :3

3. Yang ni admin tak sure. 

Yang ni mungkin keje relax sikit. Mungkin penat jugak. Mungkin la. Admin xde pengalaman dalam bahagian ni. Kawan2 admin pun xde yang keje sini. Mostly keje private. Sebab susah nak dapat kalau keje govemen. huhu.

4. Oh lupe nak tulis. Selain korang keje bidang engineering ni, boleh jadi jugak korang keje tempat lain. bidang lain. Tak kisah la bidang ape pun. yang langsung tak berkaitan dengan bidang korang. Kawan admin pun ramai jugak kat sini. Tapi takpelah, at least kerja halal, rezeki dapat boleh hidup.


Lagi satu admin nak pesan sikit. Korang kalau dah keje engineering ni, sekali sekala, fikir la jugak idea2 bernas yang boleh ubah hidup kite ye. Yang boleh mudahkan hidup sikit. Fikir ala - ala inventor sikit. Jangan letak impian utama hidup korang nak blajar abis pastu keje je. bosan tau..

Ok. Biasiswa kali ni untuk pengajian Master. Biasiswa ni diberikan oleh University Of Melbourne tu sendiri. Tapi yang ni kalau sape - sape yang dapat tu memang kire betul - betul terpilih la. Setiap tahun ada beberapa kali diorang open, tapi tak banyak application yang diorang terima.

JAPAN SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

What is the JSP?

The JSP was established in April 1988 to provide an opportunity for qualified citizens of ADB’s developing member countries (DMCs) to undertake post-graduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region.

Who is eligible to join the program?

The program is open to nationals of an ADB borrowing member country who have gained admission to an approved MA/PhD course at an academic institution. Candidates should not be more than 35 years old, in good health, with a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with superior academic record. The candidate should agree to return to his/her home country after completion of studies under the Program.

What does the scholarship cover?

The JSP covers full tuition fees, a monthly allowance for expenses, housing, books and instructional materials, medical insurance and travel expenses. For scholars engaged in research, a special grant may be available for thesis preparation. In special circumstances, computer literacy, preparatory language and other similar courses may be covered under the scholarship.
